People started finding my website within a few weeks and WITHIN TWO months I started getting over 3,000 people coming to my site and my website was picked up by a number of directories as well without me doing anything. I even had people contacting me to advertise on my website and I received some income for this. They noticed from some free reporting sites that I was getting a lot of traffic. I had registered a .ca and when I went to register my site as a .com someone had bought it and was sitting on it because they thought my site was so popular they should grab the .com. They now advertise on that site.

The great benefit of adding your website into free advertising sites is you get “backlinks” coming into your website and the search engines think people like your website and you automatically become special to Google and rise up in the rankings. It is something that you need to do if you want to do marketing online. If you want some simple training on search engine optimization (SEO) go to GNC Web Creations. This time round I decided to look at directory submitting programs since I am just so busy. Everyone has probably heard that the web does not like automated submission programs. I am not sure of all the reasons for this but some of them are that when you submit to a free directory you need to search for the right category in that directory. Sometimes these automated programs do not insert the advertisement in the correct directory. If you are selling candles and you end up in the tools directory the webmaster will be angry with you and delete your entry. Also, some of these automated programs spit out garbage and the entry contains language that does not contain proper words. I get these types of entries in one of my contact forms from these automated programs and have to delete them. Also, the web does not like duplication. If you put the same advertisement into 1,000 sites this may be perceived as spam. I am sure there are many more reasons why automated programs are frowned upon.

Submiteaze is a “semi-automated” system. This means you get to look at the information before it is added to a free advertising directory and make changes and ensure it is correct. You have to click the final button to submit the advertisement to the directory. Plus it keeps track of the directories you have submitted to so you can make changes in the future. You would set up a campaign with all the information about your website, contact info, etc. and the Submiteaze program will automatically drop the info into a free advertising website and you then just proof the info and fill in what type of link you want and click submit. The program also keeps track of your passwords and the websites you enter the advertisements into. It takes a few minutes only for each entry.

Since these websites sometimes give off a lot of advertisements for their paid members it is a good idea to set up a gmail account for these campaigns. Make sure the gmail account refers to your business directly or your name because these websites like to know the email used is a business email connected to the website you are putting the advertisement in for. Creating a gmail account or hotmail account guarantees you will not get any spam in your in box. This is the price you pay for free advertising but if done right you will not be bothered by it. Also, some of the websites will want you to confirm your entry so you will get all these emails coming in saying first they have your request and then another saying please confirm and then sometimes another saying you have gone live. You will need to look at each of these emails to make sure you confirm your listing if needed. Otherwise the advertisement might not be entered into their database.

I first mentioned to you that it took me 40 hours to add my website into 200 free advertising sites when I first began. After I started using the Submiteaze program I managed to add my site into 200 advertising sites in about 4 to 7 hours. I have lost track of the exact time but it was substantially less than 40 hours. I wanted to be able to add my website to 1,000 websites so this section of the program allows me to do this with about 1 to 2 minutes per entry.

How Submiteaze works is that they have all of the free advertising directories in lists. One list is for directories that want you to register, one is for a mandatory reciprocal link and the other list is for those who just want to get those advertisements in quickly and do not want to do too much work. That is my favourite section. The program automatically defaults to the free advertising directories signup page and pops your advertisement into the screen.

In my opinion you should not just add reciprocal links to your website without ensuring they are related to your website’s business since it can confuse the Google search engines and they might not target your keywords correctly and business will not come your way.

Submiteaze allows you to set up an unlimited number of advertising campaigns. What I mean by campaign is that I have a campaign for my candle business and I have another campaign to sell my candle products and so on. Each campaign will have a page of information that is submitted which will include your advertisements, website info, email address, contact info, the category you want your advertisement to go in, keywords, etc. which can be amended easily. For instance for my candle business I want to be entered in the business section but for my candle products I want to be recorded in the shopping section. The program allows me to distinguish this when they enter my advertisement into a site.

The program also allows you to set up as many advertisements within a campaign as you wish and the program automatically rotates those advertisements so that a different advertisement will go into the different directories. This way you avoid a lot of duplication. I have at least 20 advertisements for my candle business. All worded slightly different. Submiteaze rotates those 20 advertisements as I am entering them so that if I enter my website into 100 free advertising sites, each of those 20 advertisements goes in 5 times only. This avoids duplication and allows you to add different keywords into your advertisements to track people who are adding those search terms into the search engines. For my candle products advertisements I have another 10 advertisements that rotate as well when I add those advertisements to the directories. Periodically I keep adding advertisements to my campaigns. It only takes a few minutes to write a two line advertisement. I put the keywords in the advertisement title and in the body of the advertisement. People are directed to my website if they are interested and I do get people contacting me that way.

If you do not understand keywords you really need to check out www.wordtracker.com. Understanding keywords is mandatory for anyone wanting to make money online. It will take you some time to understand this so be prepared for some studying.

Submiteaze updates their program every 13 or 17 days. They fix any links that have gone bad and add in new directories. Recently they did another upgrade and added a TURBO submitter. This allows me to add an advertisement in 10 to 15 SECONDS. Now you are thinking this is an automated system and this will not be accepted by the search engines. It is still sem-automated. They have just managed to figure out how to provide for an even faster submission without making the program fullY automated. You still maintain control and have to push the final submit button. The time saving feature has to do with the way the entries default which is difficult to explain. Basically the information is dropped into the submission page automatically. All I do is click the submit button, or fill in a CAPTCHA and then click the submit button. The program knows I want the free link with no reciprocal link (Submiteaze allows for other types of submissions as mentioned above). 99% of the time the program picks the right category for advertisement. Then the program automatically records the entry as submitted for me and moves me to the next screen. I now can enter in advertisements at the rate of 100 in ONE-HALF HOUR to 45 minutes. That is less than half of the time the regular section of the program takes me and of course a lot better than the 20 hours it took me when I first attempted to enter in 100 advertisements. This is why I decided to write this article. There are 1100 entries in this section alone (and they will probably increase that) and I will have 30 advertisements rotating in those 1,000 websites within a couple of days and that is just by doing it late at night when I am relaxing watching TV. It is that simple to do. I have already entered 300 and the program keeps track of which ones I have entered. By the way the program will also keep track of the websites where I have decided to register and want to come back later on to enter the advertisement.

They even have a process in place where you can tell them that an entry is not working by right clicking on the entry and clicking report. Then when they upgrade the system in the next 13 day period they will pick up the deficiency and correct it. Things change all the time on the web and Submiteaze has 3,500 websites in its program. They are always adding more and improving the program. By reporting on a bad link you make it easier for them to be current and it only takes a minute to help them out.

I have been working with programs for a number of years in the legal field. My experience has been that they only upgrade the programs every few years and even when you tell them that something is not working properly they manage to not bother fixing the problem. I have found this very frustrating because I understand how these databases work and modifying their basic program is not that difficult. Because of this the businesses usually go under in a few years and the lawyers buy a new program and the same thing happens over again. These programs usually cost $1000 plus. This is another reason why I am so impressed with Submiteaze. They actively continue to upgrade and amend their program on a bi-monthly basis. They comply with the rules of the internet and provide a semi-automated program instead of a fully automated program. They provide for multiply advertisements so you will not be spammed. They have other products as well which I will also be considering purchasing. My feeling is that if they treat this program with such efficiency, they will do the same with their other programs.
